There are always two stages, which by chronological age, are:
- Obtaining resources: all life experience (for example, studies, books you read, listening music, personal relationships, moment of digestion in which you are, ambient temptation …)
- Manipulation of resources: creation of new ideas by creating new connections between available resources
Note: own resource manipulation can create new resources
In both stages and usually one or more of these elements intervene:
- Language: to articulate thoughts
- logic, mathematics included: as an analysis tool to obtain resources and one or more solutions
There are a variety of techniques to be creative, but there are still people who find it normal to leave it at random, believing that few people have this ability.
